Searle Financial Services has been in operation since 2004, when Andrew Searle opened the doors as an independent mortgage broker, having worked for many years prior to that in financial services businesses both in Australia and the UK. Andrew remains passionate about offering independent mortgage advice to clients from all walks of life looking to purchase a home or investment property.

Andrew founded Searle Financial Services in 2004 after years of travel and work in the finance industry both in Australia and in the UK.
His achievements include a Master of Commerce with the University of Queensland and a bachelor’s degree from Griffith University. He holds a Diploma in Financial Services, is a full member of the Mortgage Finance Association of Australia and has the distinction of being Australia’s first finance broker to become licenced with ASIC.
He is also a Justice of the Peace.
Little known facts about Andrew might include his enjoyment of mountain bike riding and trying to play golf.
His proudest achievements, however, are his son Hugo (born in 2007) and his daughter Xanthe (born in 2011).
Andrew's Australian Credit Licence Number (ACL) is 364362.
Suellen began her career in finance in 1982 and has worked in various roles ranging from administration, collections, marketing and lending. Suellen brings life experience to the team and enjoys helping her clients from the first meeting, through the process and for the term of the loan.
She joined the Searle team in April 2018 as a mortgage adviser. She has completed her Cert IV in finance and mortgage broking management and is a Commissioner for Declarations.
You will see Suellen out and about walking her 2 dogs or hanging out at one of the many great coffee shops Toowoomba has on offer.

Bec is the newest member to the Searle Financial team, however Bec has been in the mortgage industry since 2002. She is a second-generation mortgage broker with her father being a pioneer in the industry over 20 years ago, so lending is in her blood! Bec enjoys showing clients how they can achieve what they thought was unachievable and being support for them as they move through the different financial stages of life.
She is experienced in all facets of mortgage lending from client services, PA support and mortgage broking and has gained her Cert IV and Diploma in mortgage lending qualifications along with a wealth of industry experience.
Bec and her husband are Toowoomba natives and have their two young daughters in the local primary school. You might see her pass you as she runs her daughters around to ballet and swimming lessons or possibly at the gym!
Melissa joined the Searle team as Andrew’s assistant in July 2017 after previously working in a similar broker support role for the past several years.
She has completed both her diploma and certificate IV in finance and mortgage broking management. You’ll often find her working in the background managing Andrew’s client applications ensuring the process is as smooth for the client as possible. Melissa loves to see our client’s succeed, whether that’s purchasing their first home, adding to their already vast investment portfolio or simply getting a more competitive rate on their existing mortgage, she’s here to help.
A Mum to two gorgeous and active girls and you’ll often find the family out and about looking for new adventures.

Charmaine Searle | Director | Office Manager/Broker Support
Julie joined the Searle team in May 2018 and works as an assistant to our brokers. She has completed her Bachelor of Business through the University of Southern Queensland and previously worked in banking for eight years.
You will find Julie working in the background gathering information for applications, reviewing existing loan accounts and liaising with banks and financial institutions. One thing that Julie appreciates in working in mortgage broking industry is the vast variety of banks and financial institutions that we have access to which brings competition to the finance industry.
Julie has two young children and spends her weekends drinking coffee, lounging by the pool and cooking on the barbeque.
Charmaine has been working in Financial Planning and now, having come full circle, has re-joined the mortgage team in ensuring clients continue to have competitive and rates and service for the life of their loan.
Having worked in the Financial Planning profession Charmaine maintains relationships with Financial advisers so that clients can continue on their Planning journey with trusted Financial Planners.
Charmaine also has taken on the role of office manager and supports the brokers and other administration staff in their roles.
Prior to working in Finance, Charmaine has a creative background working in the ceramic and glass art industries. She still maintains her artistic endeavours and is busy on her weekends nurturing her two artists-in-the-making (her children, Hugo and Xanthe).
